Continuing Medical Education: Grand Rounds

Our weekly grand rounds conferences bring us together for a shared learning experience. Each session is an hour-long presentation of the latest in anesthesiology research, evidence-based clinical approaches, and thought-provoking topics. Our operating room start time is adjusted every Thursday to ensure maximum participation by our attendings, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.

The conferences emphasize inclusivity and mentorship. Trainees gain valuable exposure to diverse perspectives, while seasoned faculty members have the opportunity to share insights and refine their expertise. With a steadfast commitment to advancing the field, grand rounds embodies the spirit of academic excellence and continuous improvement that defines anesthesiology training at Columbia.

Our weekly grand rounds is designed to engage and inspire, and is curated to cover topics from the integration of emerging technologies to groundbreaking research that shapes the future of patient care; some of the sessions are endowed lectures that focus on dedicated themes.
